This is more relevant in light of our PM Narendra Modi’s “Digital India” programme and Google CEO Sundar Pichai’s vision of connecting every Indian village with internet by 2020.
As per Google survey of 2013 only 45% of small business houses in India has their own website. Hence smaller businesses are not maximizing the benefit of their internet presence, but it should be pointed out that those taking advantage of it are really experiencing significant gains. So why are so many still missing the boat? The main reason that it is important for business to have a website is how people are likely to find one. These days most people will go online search for a product or a company before they make a purchase. The points above justify the selection of web designing and development as a profession of today as well as tomorrow.
The World Wide Web was introduced by Tim Berner’s Lee in the year of 1989. Sir Tim Berners Lee is a British Computer Scientist. The different areas of Web design include Web Graphic Design, Interface Design, Authoring, including Standardised Code and proprietary software, User Experience design and Search Engine Optimization. On the other hand, Web Development involves in developing a website for hosting via internet or intranet.
